About CEPROTIN therapy

CEPROTIN [Protein C Concentrate (Human)] is a replacement therapy for patients with life-threatening blood clotting complications related to severe congenital Protein C deficiency.

CEPROTIN therapy contains Protein C, a natural protein present in the blood. Protein C regulates the blood clotting system (coagulation) and prevents abnormal clot formation (thrombosis).

How does CEPROTIN therapy work?1

In clinical trials, CEPROTIN therapy temporarily raises the levels of Protein C in the body. Protein C plays an important role in preventing your body from forming too many blood clots. CEPROTIN therapy is a replacement therapy for those patients who either don’t produce enough Protein C or who produce Protein C that doesn’t work correctly. CEPROTIN therapy allows your body’s blood clotting process to function properly.
